Membership With BIA
The Banking and Investment Association is a San José State student-run-organization with the goal of providing financial education and career opportunities. BIA offers members many opportunities including the chance to meet with other students and professionals in finance.

  • Venture Capital, Bank Executive, CFA & CFP Guest Speakers and More
  • Access to various BIA events and seminars including exclusive professional mixers
  • First ever Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF) at San Jose State University
  • Priority status to earn awards and scholarship (Spring 2012)
  • Priority status in joining the Bank Tour (sponsored by BIA)
  • Exclusive internships and job opportunities
  • Portfolio competition with cash prize

Becoming a Member or Officer
To become a member, please download and fill out the Membership Form (requries Microsoft Word 03+) and submit it in-person at any upcoming meeting, or contact one of our officers to make special arrangements. If you would like to become an officer, you can review the Officer Duties list, and pick a position from that list on the Officer Application. You can turn in your application at a  meeting, or email it to president@bia-sjsu.org.
